DM setter jobs with owners who are ready

Segue places setters with online business owners who passed our readiness check. Joining is free and stays free. Here is what the work is, how pay usually works, and what happens after you apply.

What a DM setter does

A DM setter answers the messages a business owner's content brings in, usually on Instagram. You reply fast, ask the questions that show whether someone is a fit, and book the fit ones onto a sales call. The owner or their closer takes the call. You hand off and move to the next conversation.

The work is remote and happens in the owner's inbox and CRM. Most roles are part time. Hours and coverage are agreed in writing before you start, in your time zone.

How pay works

Every owner sets their own pay. The usual shape is a monthly base plus commission on sales that come from calls you booked. Some owners pay a flat amount per call that shows up instead.

We do not place you until the base, the commission, and the pay dates are written down and you have read them. An owner who will not put pay in writing does not get a setter from us.

We never promise what you will earn. Commission depends on the owner's offer and their closer, not on us.

What we check before you meet an owner

Owners take the same readiness check we score on the call. Red owners get a fix list, not a setter. Before you are introduced, we confirm that:

  • They sell a real product or service with written terms. We decline anything that pays you to recruit others.
  • They can show real sales from the last 90 days.
  • Setter pay is decided and in writing.
  • Leads already come in every week. You are there to work them, not to find them.
  • A CRM and a lead flow exist, with a target for how fast a new lead gets a first reply.
  • Someone takes the sales calls and tracks the close rate.

Who we are looking for

  • You have set DMs for at least one real offer and can tell us which.
  • You reply to a new lead within minutes when you are on shift, and you have a follow-up habit for leads that go quiet.
  • You qualify before you book. A calendar full of wrong-fit calls helps no one.
  • You have worked in a CRM and can learn a new one quickly.
  • You can give a reference we can contact.
  • You have at least five hours a week to commit, in a consistent window.

What happens after you apply

  1. You fill in the application. It takes about five minutes and short answers are fine.
  2. We read every application. Fits get a short call with Emma.
  3. You join the bench. We tell you when an owner matches your experience and hours, not before. There may be a wait, and we will not pretend otherwise.
  4. The owner picks from a shortlist. If it is you, we brief you on their offer, voice, and CRM, then run a handoff call with all three of us.
  5. You start. For the first 30 days Segue stays your point of contact. If the fit is wrong on either side, we handle the replacement.

Ready to apply?

The form asks about your experience, your hours, how you reply and follow up, and a reference. Honest answers get an honest read.
